Why nature in the city is important
With reference to corona pandemic, the nature in the city has proved its worth. The city’s green space and urban nature have diligently been used and enjoyed by all of us with a daily life in the city. It is about quality of life, well-being, aesthetics and about the city’s identity. In the future, it will especially be about climate and other perspectives on sustainability. Landscape spaces have not always been a priority, but today planners know that a city is far more than buildings.
The presentation by Susanne Renée Grunkin, Green Cities, is part of a series of lectures on architecture, planning and design offered during the period August 16th – October 4th 2021.
